We are pleased to announce that our Careers in Translation and Interpreting for Graduates event, which took place last 4th of March, was a great success, with excellent attendance (97 attendees). In conjunction with Routes into Languages Northwest, the University of Liverpool welcomed renowned experts in the fields of Translation and Interpreting, such as Helen Campbell, Director of the National Network for Interpreting, and Paul Kaye, Language Officer at European Commission in London.
Post-event feedback was extremely positive, as you can see from the following comments:
‘I want to be an EU interpreter and have always wanted events like this to gain information’
‘I thoroughly enjoyed the event today and it gave me a great idea of what’s available to graduates who have expertise in languages’
‘I will be sharing with my colleagues the range of job areas one can choose from after graduating from a Modern Languages degree’
We are already preparing our fourth and last Routes into Languages event for this academic year, which is a ‘Spring Language Fair’ that will take place on the 19th of May (week 13). Over the next weeks we’ll be keeping you posted on all developments regarding this exciting event.
