Over the weekend of May 4th-6th the University of Liverpool’s Centre for Lifelong Learning2shipsnearshore[1] and the Merseyside Maritime Museum are hosting a Moby-Dick marathon, reading the entire novel over three days. The project, known as Moby Dick on the Mersey includes a lecture series about Liverpool’s association with Melville, and with whaling, as well as various other events over the weekend itself.
A special edition of the novel is also being planned, if funding can be raised. If you would like a beautiful readers’ edition of the book, be sure to visit the Kickstarter page before February 1st, when the campaign closes.
