14 November, 2012: European Multilingual Blogging Day

Every year, the European Commission holds a Multilingual Blogging Day.  Held in association with Internet Week Europe, the annual event is designed to give bloggers a chance to highlight the multilingual dimension of the web.  Its aim is to both encourage users to practise their language skills, and to represent languages which tend not to feature that commonly on internet blog sites.

Today, Cultures, Languages and Area Studies will mark the event through a series of different blog entries written by some of the teaching staff in the department. The entries will showcase the diversity of languages, cultural events and research interests on offer at the University of Liverpool.

You will also be able to find the blog entries in  Spanish, Catalan, Basque, German, French, Italian and Portuguese throughout the day here.
