As in previous years, we would like to launch the Year Abroad Photo Competition this session, giving you the opportunity to present your best photos taken abroad to a wider audience. To this end, we are inviting students on their year abroad to upload their photos onto NING.
This is how it works: at the beginning of each calendar month we tell you via NING about the theme for that particular month. You then submit your photos and a the end of the month a jury here at Liverpool nominates 3 winners whose photos will be published on our CLAS Blog. All winning photos for a particular month will automatically be entered for our end-of-year competition the winner of which will be awarded the Year Abroad Photo Competition Winner of the Year Prize. We are currently also exploring the possibility of showing the winning photos in an exhibition later in 2013.
Please start submitting your photos!
Below is a selection of last semester’s winning photos. The previous four themes were on food, water, signs and red, and the winners were Terence Conchie’s photo ‘Gateau de San Valentin’Ami Cooper’s ‘Sintra Garden’s Waterfall’ and Alessandra McAllister’s ‘Humble, Texas’ and ‘Red Room’ (clockwise).
